This Radio is a nice example of the high performing German made Loewe Opta Fonovox Bella-Lexus.    The wood case is in original condition with some imperfections to the veneer and metal trim (see pictures) due to being almost 65 years old!   It does however, still look awesome and has been polished to a nice shine.  I like seeing signs of aging and use on an antique.  The case and knobs were thoroughly cleaned.  The chassis was removed and fully dusted.  All moving parts cleaned and lubricated.  All tubes, capacitors and resistors were checked and any found to be defective were replaced.  The "magic eye" tuning tube was replaced with new old stock and shines brightly and responds well to station tuning.   
 
The radio measure approx. 15" long by 10" tall by 8" wide.
 
The sound is nothing short of awesome, producing a rich, warm sound even though this is a small radio.  The FM band comes in strong and clear with no help from an external antenna.  The AM (BC) and Short wave (SW) bands pick up some stations but I need a wire antenna connected to the back for optimal performance on these bands.
 
I have also played my Android phone through the phono selector with the use of a special cable (send me a note for additional info).
Nothing has been done to this radio that is not described here.  THIS IS NOT A FULLY RESTORED RADIO but rather an original vintage item that has been inspected, cleaned and repaired as necessary to make it functional as it was designed.  As with all of my radios, I have played this radio for hours several days a week before I put it up for sale.
